How It All Began…

We’re a very crafty family and when we can’t find a product that we need, we usually end up making it ourselves! When I began to see paper bead jewelry becoming a fashion trend, I decided to make my own to match my favorite outfits. I have a small bit of arthritis in my fingers and found rolling paper strips on toothpicks or bamboo skewers to be painful and frustrating. I looked at my local big box craft stores for a paper bead rolling tool. I found nothing!

When I described what I needed to my husband his response was “I can make that”. We experimented with some different designs and landed on what is now knows as Chellejon Paper Bead Rollers. With a larger, grooved handle that is made from wood, rolling beads no longer hurts my fingers. A protective coating means most glue can be wiped right off! We made the perfect tool for me to use, and I hope you’ll love it too!

Paper bead rolling is a fun activity that the whole family can participate in. And you get fabulous jewelry to boot! I hope you enjoy making beads with our kits and rollers. I’ve since expanded the shop to include other tools and supplies you’ll need while enjoying this fun craft.

About Kelly…

I’m an entrepreneur, a life-long learner, a hopeless crafter and a failed opera singer who tries to make the world just a little bit better every day I’m in it.

Kelly Phillips

I spent the first 20 years of my career as a corporate trainer, designing online learning, implementing training systems, and managing global teams. After a serious health scare in 2010, I decided it was time to experience some new adventures. I ran a web design firm for several years, then became the COO of a fast-growing stamping business and finally decided to get serious about my hobby of paper beading. I started my YouTube Channel in late 2018, combining my teaching experience and my favorite hobby into one.

The paperbeadrollers.com website falls under the umbrella of our family’s main company, Chellejon Brands along with our other entrepreneurial ventures such as Jewel Bug Beads, EFI Tags, and my consulting work at kellyphillips.biz.
